40 Years of Wood Fires

The name Dik Geurts has been synonymous with craftsmanship and design ever since the company was founded and over the past 40 years it has become a household name in the fireplace world. In addition to being designers, Dik Geurts are particularly fond of the real wood fire. Within the factory in Duivin, The Netherlands, engineers work hard every day on the quality and ease of operation of the stoves and fires, showcasing the combination of simplicity, experience and knowledge that leads to beautiful wood burning stoves and the most beautiful flames. Wood burning stoves and fires in the Dik Geurts range are of a particularly high efficiency. A higher temperature is reached in these closed and clever wood burners, and as a result combustion is much completer and more efficient. Even residual soot particles are fully burned, so you save on wood, emit less particulate matter and soot particles, and thus protect the environment. Thoughtful technique, simple to use, a Dik Geurts wood burning stove is not just a cabinet in which you can burn wood, it is a well designed device that ensures efficient and clean combustion at high efficiency. Dik Geurts fires and stoves are easy to operate, they have a single lever to regulate the surprisingly sophisticated air supply. Thanks to this, Dik Geurts fires and stoves ignite very easily. Also some models have infrared glass to keep the heat in the fire box. This gives a higher efficiency, retains the heat in the fire and as a result the glass stays clean for much longer. The combustion chambers of all Dik Geurts fires are insulated with heat-retaining natural vermiculite. For a nice contrast with the yellow flames, the vermiculite in the in the combustion chamber of our Design fires is coloured dark anthracite.

The ODIN

The circular stove with multiple design choices, function and design go hand in hand perfectly. The unique, round design not only makes the Odin a real eye catcher, but its shape also makes for a great flame picture. Because of its circular design the Odin generates a stunning log fire with sweeping, curved flames. The size of the flames and heat output is easily controlled by a single Thermo-glide air slide that is unique feature of Dik Geurts stoves. With its robust and stylish construction, the exterior of the Odin stove is finished in dark anthracite, with matching flue covers for a seamless finish. The interior is lined with heat resistant vermiculite for the best possible combustion performance and the glass doors have a fully airtight seal. The Odin stoves are clean burning, energy efficient and like all Dik Geurt stoves, the Odin has the option of external air connection. This means that air for combustion is drawn from outside the building not from the living room. For faster warmth while environmentally friendly and its unique round glass window, the Odin is the ultimate eye catcher, whether hanging from the ceiling, on the wall or standing on a plateau or robust base. The OVAL

The new style of heating, enjoy a white flame picture like never before. The various placement options make the Oval suitable for any interior, with its beautiful fire view due to its Oval shape and unique air slide for easy control of flame intensity. The dark anthracite vermiculite interior also ensures optimum and clean combustion, easy to use, lots of heat and a great look, all guaranteed with the Oval. With the outdoor air option, it is a very suitable option for well-insulated homes.

BORA CORNER

A distinctive robust cube with double sided features, the two-sided glass window of the Bora Corner design fires gives a beautiful fire viewing. Hanging in the room or standing on a plateau, the Bora provides warmth and atmosphere throughout the room. With the option to choose a left or right version it's a perfect design fireplace for any position in the house with its wide output range and optimally adjustable. The stylish design of these fires comes into their own with the Bora Corner wood burning stove. The beautiful view of the fire is striking because the two glass windows are placed tightly against one another without a metal corner in between. This stunning stove is available in many variations, so there is always a suitable model for your living space.

VIDAR TRIPLE

A stove to suit any home, with the Dik Geurts Vidar Triple wood burning stove. You can immensely enjoy a fire that is just right for your living space. Take in the beautiful, framed flame view from three sides across any room. The unique three position air slider easily controls flame intensity and thanks to infrared side windows for extra clean glass, Vidar fireplaces have optimal combustion and optional elevated ash threshold. The Vidar store also offers a nice storage space under the stove, so your firewood is always within reach. The Vidar Triple fireplaces are available in three sizes, large, medium and small. With its various options the Vidar Triple’s enticing shapes and sizes mean there is always a suitable stove to enhance your home. Choose from free standing with log compartment, standing on a plateau or wall mounted.

KALLE & FOLKE

Both the Kalle and the Folke are 3-sided wood burning stoves. The Kalle with its tall, extra-large portrait shape viewing windows create an optimum view of the fire, which reveals a warm and comforting glow all around the room. It's a tight freestanding stove show casing an elegant anthracite finish, with a generous heat output of 4 kilowatt and an impressive energy efficiency of 85%. The Folke has a wood compartment underneath the firebox giving this stove a rustic and atmospheric look, even when the stove is not burning. With its unique air slide and heat reflective infrared side windows which stay clean during operation, this wood burning stove can be optimally controlled by a convenient air slide. This makes the Dik Geurts Folke design stove suitable for mechanically ventilated and passive houses.

The IVAR

The IVAR 5 is a source of atmosphere for the real enthusiast of a wood burning stove, recognisable by the sleek cast iron door that offers a full view of the flames, an IVAR stoves combines stylish and compact appearance with the technically advanced combustion process for which Dik Geurts is known. It has a removable “cold” handle, is suitable for installation in existing spaces, and has a wide output range and extremely low emissions. The IVAR 8 shares all the same qualities but is wider by 100mm giving a larger glass window to enjoy the view of the fire.

ASTE 5 and SOREN 5

The perfect choice for a wood burning stove with the countryside look, both the Aste 5 and Soren 5 have a sturdy appearance with crisp lines and plenty of fire visibility. The cast iron door, stylish handle and classic legs of the Soren 5 give the stove a robust appearance, making this an ideal stove for placing in an existing fireplace. The Aste 5 also has a classic look realised by the beautifully designed legs and robust cast iron door, the centre of the flue pipe again is located only 10 centimetres from the rear side, a heat shield is also available for the Aste 5 allowing you to place it closer to a flammable wall. These wood burning stoves are easy to install in an existing situation because of their compactness and various options, both the Aste 5 and Soren 5 fireplaces save space and can be placed anywhere.

INSERT AND BUILT-IN FIRES

Inserts are designed for installation in an existing situation, when converting or renovating, an old fire can be replaced easily by a modern and environmentally friendly fire with a higher output. Built-in fires are placed predominantly in new situations. Dik Geurts has a wide range of inserts and built in fires for every interior, single faced, 2 sides, tunnel fires or even 3 sided fires, fires with an extra-large glass window and different kinds of frames. The Instyle fires have a completely clear glass window. The Prostyle range with screen printed glass are made for an even more beautiful view of the fire. The frames on Dik Geurts fires create a neat and finished look for the built-in/insert fireplace. It hides any spaces between the fireplace and the surrounding wall, creating a seamless and professional look.
